Arrow Functions in Javascript Cheatsheet

Arrow functions help developers in writing more concise code, and were introduced in ES6.
Arrow functions can be written in multiple ways. Below are couple of ways to use arrow functions, although, they can be written in many other ways as well:
1. With no argument
Syntax
() => expression
Example
const numbers = [0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
const squaresOfEvenNumbers = numbers.filter(ele => ele % 2 == 0)
.map(ele => ele ** 2);
console.log(squaresOfEvenNumbers);
2. With Multiple arguments
Syntax
(a1,b1,c1) => expression
Example
let sum= (a,b,c) => {
return a+b+c;
}
console.log(sum(10,20,30));
Benefits:
- Shorter syntax
- Bind this lexically
- Simplify function scoping
