<h1>TAGGED IMAGE FILE FORMAT(TIFF)</h1>
<p>TIFF also known as TIF, file type ending in (.tif) TIFF images create very large file sizes. TIFF 
images are uncompressed and these contain a lot of detailed image data. It is most common file 
type use in photo software such as photoshop.</p>
<h2>JOINT PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPERTS GROUP(JPEG)</h2>
<p>JPEG files are images that have been compressed to store a lot of information in a small size file. 
A JPEG is compressed in a way that uses some of the image details during the compression in order 
to make small file. JPEG files are usually used for photographs on the web because they create a 
small file that is is easily loaded on web page and also looks good.</p>
<p>eg. Most of Digital cameras stores photos in JPEG format because then you can take more 
photos on one camera card than other formats</p>
<h3>GRAPHIC INTERCHANE FORMAT(GIF)</h3>
<p>This format compresses images but as different from JPEG, the compression is losses (no detail is 
lost) but the file can't be made as small as JPEG. GIF Also have an extremely limited color range 
suitable for the web but not for printing. This format is never used for photography because of the 
limited number of color. GIF can also use for animation.</p>
<h4>PORTABLE NETWORK GRAPHICS(PNG)</h4>
<p>It was created as an open format to replace GIF because the patent for GIF was owned by one 
company and nobody else wanted to pay license fees. It is also allows for full range of color and 
better compression. It is also used exclusively for web images, never for print images. For 
photographs PNG is not good as JPEG because it creates larger files.</p>

Syntax help

Fundamentals

  • Any HTML document must start with document declaration <!DOCTYPE html>
  • HTML documents begin with <html> and ends with </html>
  • Headings are defined with <h1> to <h6> where <h1> is the highest important heading and <h6> is the least important sub-heading.
  • Paragrahs are defined in <p>..</p> tag.
  • Links are defined in <a> tag.

  • Images are defined in <img> tag, where src attribute consists of image name.
  • Buttons are defined in <button>..</button> tag
  • Lists are defined in <ul> for unordered/bullet list and <ol> for ordered/number list, and the list items are defined in <li>.

HTML Elements and Attributes

  • HTML element is everything present from start tag to end tag.
  • The text present between start and end tag is called HTML element content.
  • Anything can be a tagname but it's preferred to put the meaningful title to the content present as tag name.
  • Do not forget the end tag.
  • Elements with no content are called empty elements.
  • Elements can have attributes which provides additional information about the element.
  • In the below example, href is an attribute and a is the tag name.

CSS

CSS(cascading style sheets) describes how HTML elements will look on the web page like color, font-style, font-size, background color etc.

Example:

Below is a sample style sheet which displays heading in green and in Candara font with padding space of 25px.

HTML Tables

  • HTML Tables are defined in <table> tag.
  • Table row should be defined in <tr> tag
  • Table header should be defined in <th> tag
  • Table data should be defined in <td> tag
  • Table caption should be defined in <caption> tag

HTML-Javascript

  • Javascript is used in HTML pages to make them more interactive.
  • <script> is the tag used to write scripts in HTML
  • You can either reference a external script or write script code in this tag.
